01 / WORKFLOW

Keep the handoffs
moving.

Client projects arrive in mixed formats and tight schedules. LimeCore brings media inspection, preparation jobs and playback diagnostics into one focused desktop workflow.

01

Know what arrived

Probe streams and media properties before deciding how to prepare a source. Keep the input and output details close to the job.

FFprobe analysisLOCAL
02

Prepare for the edit

Run Make Editable, remux, transcode and proxy or cache jobs. Queue batches with visible progress and job history.

FFmpeg workflowLOCAL
03

Review playback honestly

Use adaptive preview and playback diagnostics to see the active route and its limits on the workstation in front of you.

Route-aware diagnosticsLOCAL

i Codec and playback support depends on the source, installed tools and tested hardware. LimeCore does not promise universal format support or no-lag playback.

02 / ARCHITECTURE

Local by default.
Cloud by choice.

The current product is a Windows desktop application. Its media workflow runs on the workstation; proposed cloud services sit beside it as an opt-in layer, not inside the playback engine.

CURRENT DESKTOP PRODUCT
Tauri desktop shellReact + TypeScript interface
R Rust native services
01 / PLAYBACK

Native engine work

Rust playback components, a Vulkan renderer foundation and a native Windows shell. Main-surface integration and long-run visual A/V validation remain active engineering gates.

02 / MEDIA JOBS

Bounded compatibility tools

FFmpeg and FFprobe handle supported inspection, remux, transcode, cache and proxy work. They are compatibility workers, not the native playback clock or renderer.

Current media boundary
Media analysis and processing stay on the workstation in the current build. There is no current user-media upload service.

PROPOSED CLOUD SERVICE LAYER

Separate services to support client collaboration and managed model delivery.

PLANNED

Frame review + task summaries

Let an editor share selected review frames and timecoded client notes. A cloud LLM can turn those notes into a structured task list for the editor.

Opt-in frame sharing · not live today
PLANNED

Versioned model profiles

Offer subscription-based delivery of neural-network weight profiles, with profile versions and entitlement checks handled separately from local media processing.

Managed profile delivery · not live today

Why cloud capacity? The proposed service layer needs hosted review storage and LLM inference for client-note summaries, plus distribution infrastructure for licensed model profiles. Local playback and media preparation remain workstation workloads.

Architecture reflects the current repository and product roadmap. Proposed cloud services are not represented as deployed features.

03 / BUILT FOR CLIENT WORK

A professional tool
for paid post.

LimeCore is being shaped around independent specialists and small production teams who handle client footage, mixed formats and repeatable delivery work.
